Bionic Highlights: Bionic Woman Best Fight Scene of the Week: Episode 1.02

by

The second episode of Bionic Woman had two fight scenes.  The first, and this week’s winner, involved Jae Kim and Jaime Sommers sparing and Kim teaching Sommers to integrate her super strength with her feminine strength.  I liked the fight scene and the editor’s use of last week’s best fight scene winner between Katee Sackhoff as Sarah Corvus and Michelle Ryan as Jaime Sommers integrated with the sparring match between Sommers and Kim.

The second fight scene between Sommers and the military terrorist was pretty standard fare, but interesting because the soldier appeared to have some bionics himself.  However, this was never mentioned in the episode.

The production value on Bionic Woman is fantastic and fight scenes like this week’s winner will keep me watching for them alone.  Here’s this week’s winner.

Episode:  1.02 - “Paradise Lost”

Minutes Into Show: 24

Duration:  2 3/4 minutes

Characters:  Jaime Sommers & Jae Kim

Winner:  Sommers

Deaths:  None

Best Line:  Jae Kim:  “You think just because you have machines inside you, that’s enough; you’re invincible.  The machine is nothing without the women.”

About Bionic Woman

Welcome to the best site on the web for news about Bionic Woman! Bionic Woman is a re-imagined, updated television drama inspired by the original 1970s show starring Lindsey Wagner. Helmed by the same creative team responsible for reviving Battlestar Galactica on the Sci-Fi Channel, the new Bionic Woman is darker than the 1970s original series but not quite as dark as BSG. The new show stars Michelle Ryan as the title character, Jaime Sommers, and Katee Sackhoff as her nemesis/frenemy Sarah Corvus. Each episode provides Jaime with an opportunity to further adapt to her bionic implants, and plots usually focus on her struggles to raise her teenage sister Becca while fighting techno terrorism and other types of crime. Bionic Woman airs on channels around the world, and in the United States it appears on Wednesday nights at 9:00/8:00 Central on NBC.
