Official Bionic Woman Pilot Available For Download!

NBC has partnered with Amazon.com and made several of their new fall premiers available for download now. Bionic Woman is one of the ones available. We told you earlier that a preview DVD of these pilots was available at Blockbuster. Now you can download them directly from Amazon.

I think it’s pretty smart of NBC to release this BW now. Since the pre-air pilot is already out there, this is a good way to get people downloading their final product. My review of the pre-air pilot is here, and I found it to have serious flaws. I am hoping those flaws have been fixed since that April pilot. Five months is a long time to make corrections and I hope the producers used this time wisely.

I have my Tivo set to download the episode (via my Amazon download account) and I will have my early review up in a couple of days.

If you don’t have Tivo, in order to down and watch this episode and any others, you’ll need to download their proprietary "unbox player." At least this episode is free. Not a bad tradeoff: their software for early viewing of the pilot.

If you download and watch the pilot, let me know what you think in comments.

[...] We mentioned earlier that the folks at NBC, Amazon and Tivo were kind smart to make the September 26, 2007 premiere available for download this week, and without commercials too. Previously, I reviewed the un-aired pilot and found it to have flaws. Here are my quick thoughts after watching official pilot from the Tivo download. [...]

About Bionic Woman

Welcome to the best site on the web for news about Bionic Woman! Bionic Woman is a re-imagined, updated television drama inspired by the original 1970s show starring Lindsey Wagner. Helmed by the same creative team responsible for reviving Battlestar Galactica on the Sci-Fi Channel, the new Bionic Woman is darker than the 1970s original series but not quite as dark as BSG. The new show stars Michelle Ryan as the title character, Jaime Sommers, and Katee Sackhoff as her nemesis/frenemy Sarah Corvus. Each episode provides Jaime with an opportunity to further adapt to her bionic implants, and plots usually focus on her struggles to raise her teenage sister Becca while fighting techno terrorism and other types of crime. Bionic Woman airs on channels around the world, and in the United States it appears on Wednesday nights at 9:00/8:00 Central on NBC.
