Sarah Connor Chronicles Premieres Sunday Night

There’s a new kick butt girl in town, and she has her own cyber secrets. The Sarah Connor Chronicles premieres Sunday night on Fox, and if you are intrigued by the concept of female fighters and the intertwining of biology and technology, it is worth checking out … especially since Bionic Woman is still off the air.
The Sarah Connor Chronicles is a continuation of The Terminator movies. It stars Lena Headley in the title role, Thomas Drekker as her son, and Summer Glau as the butt kicking hottie robot sent from the future to protect them. Just like Bionic Woman’s Michelle Ryan, Summer is a lovely brunette (as you can see from the photo at the left, which was taken earlier this week at the show’s premiere party at Los Angeles’ Cinerama Dome).
The Sarah Connor Chronicles centers around what happens to Sarah Connor (played by Linda Hamilton in the movies) after she vanquishes the robot sent to kill her son, and the plots center around her attempts to keep him safe from the attacks of more deadly robots. While Sarah does a fair amount of butt kicking herself, the primary fight scenes will belong to Summer’s character Cameron. To get a small taste of her talents, be sure to check out the preview clip above.
Many scifi fans are already familiar with Summer, who played troubled genius River Tam in the Joss Whedon series Firefly and the subsequent movie Serenity. To see another sample of Summer’s fight skills, check out the clip from Serenity below … and be sure to notice her back kick to the guy’s head. Someone titled this clip "Summer Glau Kicks Ass." We agree.
