Where is Michelle Ryan?

Last night was the premiere of what was supposedly the most anticipated show of the year, and yet it has been weeks since we have seen a promotional appearance by Bionic Woman Michelle Ryan.

Michelle was scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Monday night, but the evening came and went without a mention of the brunette beauty. Similarly, she was listed as a guest for the Wednesday morning Today show, but four hours of Today passed without a mention of Michelle. While a print interview did appear on the Today website yesterday, it did not contain any new information or quotes.

Two cancellations in quick succession is cause for concern, especially since it has been weeks since we have seen a public appearance from Michelle. She was noticably absent from any of the Emmy weekend festivities, and has not been out and about at the various promotional parties for the new season.

Is martial arts training and filming in Vancouver so intense that she cannot get away? This is possible, as filming Bionic Woman is reportedly an intense experience. Keep your fingers crossed that the absence of new Michelle interviews is the result of scheduling, and not an indication of a larger issues with Michelle or with the confidence NBC has in Bionic Woman’s potential for success.

About Bionic Woman

Welcome to the best site on the web for news about Bionic Woman! Bionic Woman is a re-imagined, updated television drama inspired by the original 1970s show starring Lindsey Wagner. Helmed by the same creative team responsible for reviving Battlestar Galactica on the Sci-Fi Channel, the new Bionic Woman is darker than the 1970s original series but not quite as dark as BSG. The new show stars Michelle Ryan as the title character, Jaime Sommers, and Katee Sackhoff as her nemesis/frenemy Sarah Corvus. Each episode provides Jaime with an opportunity to further adapt to her bionic implants, and plots usually focus on her struggles to raise her teenage sister Becca while fighting techno terrorism and other types of crime. Bionic Woman airs on channels around the world, and in the United States it appears on Wednesday nights at 9:00/8:00 Central on NBC.
